I call it the “long slide” too as it is 9” long, barrel length is actually 6.02” – that .02 is important!
Weight unloaded is an amazing 1.6 lbs compared to the standard Glock 17 coming in at 1.4 lbs. so the slotted and relived slide really make a big difference. I expected the weapon to seem front heavy but I was wrong, the balance, again due to the slotted and relived slide was perfect.
The long site radius and adjustable rear sight made this a straight-shooter right from the factory.
Smooth trigger pull at 4.5 lbs. it feels natural the first time you fire it and the grip is as solid as a rock, part of the Gen 4 improvements from Glock.
I shot the Speer Lawman 9mm Luger 124 gr. TMJ and really liked the soft recoil and the balance. I have shot a half-dozen new pistols in the past several weeks and this one is a “keeper”, not a recommend for a CCW but for any other purpose.
